The post-Olympic blues

I'm feeling the post Olympic blues...finally. I was in Vancouver today for work and being back on the streets of Vancouver with things relatively back to normal was, well, kind of depressing. It was a glorious day and Vancouver was again at it's peak in beauty, but where were the crowds? Where was all the Canada red? I saw some people in Canada jackets, but not one pair of red mittens in sight...made me kinda nostalgic for the vibe that was there just a few short weeks ago.

I guess this is what makes that time so special--our Olympic moment. It will be very difficult to replicate. I wonder if I'll ever experience that again in my lifetime? It will be hard to match,

I don't know if I'll ever be able to be at the corner of Seymour and Dunsmuir St and see it the same way again. No chest bumping, street people and business men weren't high fiveing...just going about their normal day...separate worlds again. Weird and sad.
